Indigenous Groups Protest Against FIFA World Cup 2014
Armed with bows and arrows, around 400 people of different ethnic groups in Brazil rallied outside the Justice Ministry in the capital on Thursday, to protest against a legislation before congress that threatens to shrink the size of some reserves for indigenous groups. The indigenous protesters were demanding to meet with Justice Minister Eduardo Cardozo to discuss the said legislation.
This was the second demonstration by the indigenous groups this week in Brazil's capital.
They were angered about the billions being spent on the tournament, saying the money should have gone to improving Brazil's public services.
