One-of-a-Kind World Cup Experience for the Partially-sighted and Blind Fans
FIFA and the Brazil 2014 Local Organising Committee (LOC) will pioneer an audio match commentary service in four stadiums on the World Cup in Brazil. This is to enhance the experience for the partially-sighted and blind fans who will be there to experience the FIFA fever. A training seminar was held for the commentators who volunteered for the event. FIFA's official website reported that the commentary will have greater emphasis on describing what is going on in the match.
Aimed at enhancing the experience of attending matches for partially-sighted and blind fans, FIFA and the Brazil 2014 Local Organising Committee (LOC) are providing a pioneering audio match commentary service in four stadiums at this summer’s World Cup. On Wednesday, in Rio de Janeiro’s famous Estadio Maracana, a training seminar was held for the volunteer commentators. The commentators will give emphasis on the visual details, body movements and even facial expressions of the players, coaches, referees and others who are involved.
